General
Why choose Always Remember?
We’ve been providing graphic design services and photo restoration and manipulation for a variety of clients for over 30 years. We’ve made the process as simple as possible: send us your photos and we’ll take care of everything else.
When are my originals returned?
We will return your photos as soon as the project is completed. If you utilized a local courier, that’s how we will return them. If you used a 3rd party carrier we will ship them ground UPS and send you the tracking number.
Do you keep a backup of my files?
We archive all of our completed jobs, as standard, to give our clients a backup of their photos and project for future usage or in case your files get lost or damaged. If you would prefer that the files are deleted immediately after they are delivered to you we are happy to honor that request.
How do I pay for my order?
We invoice and accept payment through PayPal. This allows you the ability to pay online using your credit or debit card, or PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay.
Scanning
How do I label my printed photos for you to scan?
If we are scanning your photos to preserve your memories digitally, it is not necessary for you to label them unless you would like the files specifically named for you. If that’s the case, we suggest using a #2 soft lead pencil, using very light pressure, to number the photos in a consistent spot such as the top or bottom on the reverse side of each photo. We will e-mail you a form for you to fill out that will tell us how you want each file named.
If we will be using your newly scanned photos in a slide presentation or a photo memory board, follow the labeling instructions above and we will e-mail you a caption form that we’ll use to caption each photo.
Shipping
How should I protect my photos during transit?
We suggest that you package your photos in a sturdy box for shipment, even if by local courier. Precious cargo! Make sure they don’t rattle around in the box, you can fill it with paper (please no packing materials that render excess debris as it slows the process on our end). We also recommend that you wrap loose photos in plastic to protect them against moisture during shipment.
Shipping my photos is scary, is it safe?
One word: YES! We care for your photos as if they are our own. We only work on one job at a time to eliminate the risk of mixing people’s prized possessions. Once your scanning is complete we package your photos up in preparation of the return shipment. If you’re local to Western New York (within Erie and Niagara counties), we can arrange a local courier to pick them up if that feels more comfortable for you. We have never had negative issues with UPS shipments, however we cannot be held responsible for missing or lost packages sent through third party carriers. See our terms and conditions for more details.
